Johann Christian Klengel

Johann Christian Klengel foi um gravador e pintor alemão. Klengel frequentou a escola de desenho de Dresden. Seu professor foi Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich. Em 1790, ele foi para a Itália e, em 1802, tornou-se professor da Academia de Arte de Dresden. Um de seus alunos foi Karl Gottfried Traugott Faber. Ele pintava paisagens e composições idílicas, principalmente à luz da manhã ou do entardecer. Em 1812, publicou uma coleção de doze folhas em fólio para artistas paisagistas sob o título «Principes de dessins pour les paysages» e, em 1824, um número semelhante de folhas originais, hoje conhecidas como «Études de paysages».
