Johann Heinrich Schilbach

Johann Heinrich Schilbach fue un pintor y grabador alemán. Estudió con Ernst Fries (q.v.) en Roma y también conoció a Ludwig Richter; se convirtió en artista de la corte en Darmstadt en 1828. Murió en Darmstadt. Johann Heinrich Schilbach pertenece a la generación de los románticos más jóvenes que tardaron mucho en emerger de la sombra de los primeros románticos, más comprometidos intelectualmente. Dedicó su obra exclusivamente a pinturas y dibujos de paisajes.
