Johann Heinrich Schilbach foi um pintor e gravador alemão. Estudou com Ernst Fries (q.v.) em Roma e também conheceu Ludwig Richter; tornou-se artista da corte em Darmstadt em 1828. Morreu em Darmstadt. Johann Heinrich Schilbach pertence à geração dos jovens românticos que demoraram muito a emergir da sombra dos primeiros românticos, mais envolvidos intelectualmente. Ele dedicou sua obra exclusivamente a pinturas e desenhos de paisagem.
