约瑟夫·麦克利斯

约瑟夫·麦克利斯是一位著名的外科医生和解剖学家。他撰写了一本广受欢迎的《外科解剖学》著作。 麦克利斯是科克的亚历山大·麦克利斯的次子，娶了丽贝卡·布坎南。他就读于伦敦大学学院，并与罗伯特·利斯顿和塞缪尔·库珀一起在外科领域工作，对早期泌尿外科学有着浓厚的兴趣。他的哥哥丹尼尔本人也是一位著名的画家。
