约瑟夫斯·奥古斯都·克尼普
荷兰地形水彩画家兼导师
约瑟夫·奥古斯特·克尼普是一位荷兰画家。他是装饰画家尼古拉斯·弗雷德里克·克尼普的儿子，后者是他的第一位老师。在他十一岁时，他随家人搬到了斯海尔托亨博斯。1794年，法国军队围困并占领了该镇。十九岁时，由于父亲失明，他成为家里的经济支柱，并且是他妹妹亨丽埃特·赫特鲁伊达·克尼普的第一位老师。 1801年，他在巴黎定居，并接受了地形画的委托。他还成为法国拿破仑三世的绘画教师。他在巴黎度过了九年。1809年底，他前往罗马，并在那里停留至1812年。他还四处旅行，曾到访那不勒斯、萨宾山、阿尔班山和坎帕尼亚地区。这些旅行中创作的水彩画留存至今，描绘了从帕莱斯特里纳到特尔尼等地的风景。1813年，他与妻子、画家保利娜·里弗·德·库塞勒一同返回荷兰。他们在斯海尔托亨博斯定居，他在此以画家为业。后来，他曾在阿姆斯特丹和巴黎居住。1832年，他失明，此后获得荷兰国王威廉一世发放的养老金。 他的女儿亨丽埃特·罗纳-克尼普以他的姐姐命名，他是她的第一位老师。
