約瑟夫斯·奧古斯都·克尼普
荷蘭地形水彩畫家兼導師
約瑟夫·奧古斯特·克尼普是一位荷蘭畫家。他是裝飾畫家尼古拉斯·弗雷德里克·克尼普的兒子，後者是他的第一位老師。在他十一歲時，他隨家人搬到了斯海爾托亨博斯。1794年，法國軍隊圍困並佔領了該鎮。十九歲時，由於父親失明，他成為家裡的經濟支柱，並且是他妹妹亨麗埃特·赫特魯伊達·克尼普的第一位老師。 1801年，他在巴黎定居，並接受了地形畫的委託。他還成為法國拿破崙三世的繪畫教師。他在巴黎度過了九年。1809年底，他前往羅馬，並在那裡停留至1812年。他還四處旅行，曾到訪那不勒斯、薩賓山、阿爾班山和坎帕尼亞地區。這些旅行中創作的水彩畫留存至今，描繪了從帕萊斯特里納到特爾尼等地的風景。1813年，他與妻子、畫家保利娜·里弗·德·庫塞勒一同返回荷蘭。他們在斯海爾托亨博斯定居，他在此以畫家為業。後來，他曾在阿姆斯特丹和巴黎居住。1832年，他失明，此後獲得荷蘭國王威廉一世發放的養老金。 他的女兒亨麗埃特·羅納-克尼普以他的姊姊命名，他是她的第一位老師。
