南派山水长披麻皴宗师

巨然，生卒年不详，钟陵（今江西省南昌市）人，一说江宁（今江苏省南京市）人。他是五代至北宋初期的画家和僧人。 南唐时期，他在江宁开元寺出家为僧，后随李煜入宋，定居于汴京开宝寺。淳化年间，他在翰林院北壁绘制壁画《烟岚晓景》，引发文人题诗赞颂。 巨然是董源的学生，以使用长披麻皴描绘江南山水而闻名。他的画作常出现布满苔藓的卵石、疏落的竹子与藤蔓植物，以及小巧的茅草屋，营造出宁静质朴的氛围。其笔法优雅流畅，使他与董源并称"董巨"，并与荆浩、关仝合称为"荆关董巨"。他成为南方山水画派的代表人物，对元、明、清乃至近现代山水画的发展产生了深远影响。 Surviving works include 'Autumn Mountains Asking the Way,' 'Pine Wind in Ten Thousand Valleys,' and 'Mountain Dwelling,' which are housed in places like the National Palace Museum in Taipei and the Shanghai Museum. His compositions mostly followed the vertical scroll format and combined the majestic momentum of northern landscapes, showing a fusion of northern and southern painting styles.
