小林清親
明治現代化最後的浮世繪大師
小林清親是日本浮世繪藝術家,以其浮世繪彩色木版畫和報紙插圖而聞名。他的作品記錄了日本在明治時期(1868–1912)經歷的快速現代化和西方化進程,並運用了受西方藝術技法啟發的明暗對比法「光線畫」[ja]。 他的作品在19世紀70年代首次找到受眾,當時以紅磚建築和火車為主題的版畫在明治維新後大量湧現;他關於1894年至1895年甲午戰爭的版畫也很受歡迎。這一時期木版畫逐漸失寵,許多收藏家認為小林的作品是浮世繪最後的重要代表。
