Markus Pernhart
Paisagens realistas da Caríntia
Markus Pernhart foi um pintor austríaco que ganhou destaque por suas representações da Caríntia. Nascido em 1824 como filho de um carpinteiro no que hoje é Untermieger, foi instruído em pintura por Eduard Ritter von Moro e Franz Steinfeld. Ele também expandiu seu horizonte artístico enquanto estudava na Academia de Belas Artes de Munique. Ao longo de sua vida, permaneceu dedicado ao gênero da pintura de paisagem em todas as suas múltiplas variações. Enfrentando vento e clima, passou incontáveis horas agachado ao ar livre para produzir suas pinturas realistas. Pernhart morreu em 1871 aos 46 anos em St. Ruprecht, perto de Klagenfurt, onde também foi sepultado.
