Nicolaes Molenaer

Nicolaes (Klaes) Molenaer fue un pintor de paisajes y dibujante neerlandés del Siglo de Oro. Molenaer nació y murió en Haarlem en la familia del sastre Jan Mienssen Molenaer y su segunda esposa Grietgen Adriaens: tuvieron ocho hijos, de los cuales no se conoce ninguna fecha de nacimiento, ya que la familia era católica romana y no se llevó ningún registro de bautismo. Según el RKD, entre sus hermanos se encontraban los pintores Bartholomeus y Jan Miense Molenaer. Se convirtió en miembro del Gremio de San Lucas de Haarlem en 1651 y pagó cuotas anuales hasta 1676. Fue un pintor de paisajes invernales influenciado por Jacob van Ruisdael.
