Philippe-Jacques de Loutherbourg
Pionero en escenografía y marina
Philip James de Loutherbourg, cuyo nombre a veces se presenta en la forma francesa Philippe-Jacques, la forma alemana Philipp Jakob, o con el epíteto en inglés «el Joven» (the Younger), fue un pintor británico de origen francés que se hizo conocido por sus grandes obras navales, sus elaborados diseños de escenografía para los teatros de Londres y su invención de un teatro mecánico llamado «Eidophusikon». También tenía interés en la curación por la fe y lo oculto, y fue compañero del estafador Cagliostro.
