Philippe-Jacques de Loutherbourg
Pioneiro em cenografia e pinturas navais
Philip James de Loutherbourg, cujo nome às vezes é apresentado na forma francesa Philippe-Jacques, na forma alemã Philipp Jakob, ou com o epíteto em inglês «o Jovem» (the Younger), foi um pintor britânico nascido na França que se tornou conhecido por suas grandes obras navais, seus elaborados cenários para teatros de Londres e sua invenção de um teatro mecânico chamado «Eidophusikon». Ele também tinha interesse na cura pela fé e no ocultismo, e era companheiro do trapaceiro Cagliostro.
