Pierre-Antoine Baudouin
Miniaturista rococó de cenas eróticas
Pierre-Antoine Baudouin foi um pintor francês que trabalhava no estilo de seu sogro, François Boucher. Filho de Michel Baudouin, um gravador de pouca nota, nasceu em Paris em 1723. Foi aluno e imitador de Boucher, cuja filha mais nova ele casou em 1758, e por cuja influência foi eleito acadêmico em 1763 como pintor de miniaturas; nessa ocasião, apresentou seu desenho de Hiperides defendendo a causa de Friné perante o Areópago, hoje no Louvre. Baudouin executou temas idílicos e eróticos em aquarela e giz, mas raramente pintou a óleo. Morreu em Paris em 1769.
