Pietro Antonio Novelli
Pintor veneziano de retábulos e afrescos
Pietro Antonio Novelli foi um pintor e gravador italiano. Novelli treinou com o pintor veneziano Jacopo Amigoni. Em 1768, foi aceito como membro da Accademia di Belle Arti em Veneza. Novelli produziu retábulos e afrescos por todo o norte da Itália. Algumas de suas encomendas vieram de Catarina, a Grande. Ele mudou-se para Roma por volta de 1779, onde permaneceu por mais de 20 anos. Mais tarde, retornou a Veneza, onde morreu em 1804. Suas memórias foram publicadas postumamente em 1834.
