小罗伯特·哈维尔
雕刻奥杜邦，绘哈德逊风景
小罗伯特·哈维尔是奥杜邦《美洲鸟类》的主要雕刻师，该作品在美国被视为 他定居在哈德逊河畔的奥西宁，后来搬到了纽约州的塔里敦，从1857年起在那里度过了余生。尽管哈维尔继续从事凹版腐蚀制版和雕刻工作（主要是城市全景图），但他将大部分精力投入到描绘哈德逊河谷的乡村风光上。他经常乘坐自制的马拉拖车旅行，进行素描和记录笔记，并将素描转化为更大的油画作品。小罗伯特·哈维尔被视为美国哈德逊河画派的成员之一。 他于1878年去世，葬于斯利皮霍洛的斯利皮霍洛公墓。
