烏多·凱普勒
政治漫畫家與原住民倡導者
烏多·J·凱普勒（Udo J. Keppler），自1894年起以約瑟夫·凱普勒二世（Joseph Keppler Jr.）之名聞名，是一位美國政治漫畫家、出版商和美洲原住民權益倡導者。他是創辦《Puck》雜誌的漫畫家約瑟夫·凱普勒（Joseph Keppler，1838–1894）之子。小凱普勒也為該雜誌貢獻漫畫作品，並在父親去世後成為雜誌的共同所有者，同時將名字改為約瑟夫·凱普勒。他還是美洲原住民文物的收藏家，並被塞內卡民族收養，成為榮譽酋長，獲名「Gyantwaka」。 凱普勒於1872年4月4日出生在密蘇里州聖路易斯。他於1888年畢業於哥倫比亞學院，並於1890年和1891年在德國學習。他從1890年到1914年為《Puck》雜誌工作。1895年4月4日，他與富有的釀酒商喬治·貝希特爾的女兒路易絲（露露）·伊娃·貝希特爾結婚，這樁婚姻遭到他的母親和姐妹們的反對。他於1913年12月出售了《Puck》，並繼續擔任藝術總監四個月。後來，他為《Judge》和《Leslie's Weekly》撰稿，直到1915年。他於1920年退休，1946年移居加利福尼亞州拉霍亞，並於1956年7月4日在那裡去世。
