William Henry Brooke
Retratista e ilustrador británico
William Henry Brooke fue un artista e ilustrador británico. Era hijo del pintor Henry Brooke y sobrino de Henry Brooke, autor de A Fool of Quality. Fue alumno de Samuel Drummond y trabajó como pintor de retratos. Entre 1810 y 1826, expuso ocasionalmente retratos y temas figurativos en la Royal Academy, pero es más conocido por sus ilustraciones para libros. Murió en Chichester en 1860. Como ilustrador, Brooke fue influenciado por su amigo Thomas Stothard. Contribuyó a las Irish Melodies de Thomas Moore, a la edición de John Major de The Compleat Angler de Izaak Walton, a la Mythology de Thomas Keightley y a otras obras.
