Abraham van Strij
Pintor holandés del siglo XVIII
Abraham van Strij fue un pintor del siglo XVIII procedente de los Países Bajos del Norte. Van Strij nació y murió en Dordrecht. Según el RKD, era hijo de Leendert y hermano de Jacob. Tanto él como su hermano fueron alumnos de su padre, y después de recibir clases de Joris Ponse, Abraham se incorporó al taller de su padre. Fue miembro del Gremio de San Lucas de Dordrecht y más tarde su director. Su hijo Abraham II también se convirtió en pintor; además de su hijo, él y su hermano tomaron alumnos tras hacerse cargo del taller de su padre. Sus alumnos fueron Pieter Rudolph Kleijn, Johannes van Lexmond, Jacob de Meijer, Johannes Rutten, Johannes Schoenmakers, Johannes Christiaan Schotel y Gillis Smak Gregoor.
