Abraham van Strij
Pintor holandês do século XVIII
Abraham van Strij foi um pintor do século XVIII originário dos Países Baixos do Norte. Van Strij nasceu e faleceu em Dordrecht. Segundo o RKD, era filho de Leendert e irmão de Jacob. Tanto ele quanto seu irmão foram alunos do pai e, após receber aulas de Joris Ponse, Abraham ingressou na oficina do pai. Ele foi membro da Guilda de São Lucas de Dordrecht e mais tarde seu diretor. Seu filho Abraham II também se tornou pintor; além do filho, ele e seu irmão aceitaram alunos após assumirem a oficina do pai. Seus alunos foram Pieter Rudolph Kleijn, Johannes van Lexmond, Jacob de Meijer, Johannes Rutten, Johannes Schoenmakers, Johannes Christiaan Schotel e Gillis Smak Gregoor.
