Alexander Francis Lydon
Acquarellista e incisore di storia naturale
Alexander Francis Lydon era un artista acquerellista, illustratore e incisore britannico di origine irlandese, specializzato in storia naturale e paesaggi. Lavorò per il tipografo Benjamin Fawcett, presso il quale era stato apprendista fin dalla giovane età. Collaborò a un gran numero di opere con il Reverendo Francis Orpen Morris, che scrisse i testi. Il nipote di Alexander, Gerald Kenneth Lydon (1902–1988), conosciuto professionalmente come GK Lydon, fu anche un artista di successo specializzato in acquerelli. Fu eletto Fellow della Royal Society of Arts nel 1953.
