Alphonse-Henri Perin
French academic painter of religious scenes
Alphonse Henri Perin was born in Reims, France in 1798 and died in Paris, France in 1874. Perin entered the School of Fine Arts in 1817 where he was a pupil of Guerin and Bertin. He lived in Rome for nine years and became friend and collaborator of Orsel. He appeared at the Paris Salon from 1827-1859.
