Archie Gunn
Ilustrador e pintor de retratos popular
Archie Gunn foi um ilustrador conhecido e popular, cujas imagens eram publicadas em periódicos de destaque. Ele nasceu na Inglaterra e seu pai era membro da Royal Academy britânica. Ele estudou inicialmente com seu pai em Londres. Por um tempo, ele projetou figurinos para as produções de Gilbert e Sullivan. Ele também obteve sucesso como pintor de retratos; um de seus retratos de Disraeli estava pendurado nas paredes dos aposentos da rainha Vitória. Após chegar à América, trabalhou como ilustrador de revistas e jornais. Também realizou várias pinturas para calendários para a Gerlach Barklow Calendar Company.
