Carl Rudolf Huber
Renowned for animal paintings and portraits
Carl Rudolf Huber was an Austrian painter and graphic artist. Carl Rudolf Huber studied at the Academy of fine arts in Vienna and Düsseldorf. In 1875 he went on a trip to Egypt with Leopold Carl Müller, Hans Makart and Franz von Lenbach. From 1880 he worked as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where he taught a school for animal painting, at which Alexander Pock was his student. Huber was best known for his animal pictures and portraits.
