Charles Frederick William Mielatz
Incisore di architettura urbana
Charles Mielatz divenne famoso come incisore di soggetti architettonici. Il suo interesse per i motivi e la struttura degli edifici urbani è evidente nel ponte metallico di Cherry Street, realizzato nel 1904. Sette anni dopo, quando Mielatz ritrasse un venditore di gelati dei primi del Novecento a Bowling Green, dedicò uguale attenzione alla fila di edifici in lontananza. Mielatz nacque in Germania ma trascorse gran parte della sua carriera negli Stati Uniti. Negli anni 1880 fu attivo a Newport, Rhode Island. Le sue opere sono nelle collezioni della New York Public Library e del Parrish Art Museum.
