Dorothy Waugh
Kühne Grafik, einzigartige Typografie
Dorothy Waugh studierte Design am Chicago Institute of Art und zog anschließend nach New York, wo sie die Kinderbuchabteilung von Alfred A. Knopf leitete. In den 1930er Jahren arbeitete sie für den National Park Service als Produktionsleiterin und lieferte auch konkrete Kunstwerke und Textentwürfe. Es sind mindestens acht bekannte Bilder bekannt, die sie für die Nationalparks entwarf, die jeweils durch eine einzigartige Typografiebehandlung und kühne Grafiken gekennzeichnet sind.
