Edward Pritchett
Pintor elusivo de Venecia
Edward Pritchett fue un pintor inglés del siglo XIX y un hombre envuelto en misterio. No se sabe nada de la vida de Pritchett; ha sido descrito apropiadamente como «escurridizo». Es posible que haya vivido hasta 1879. Pritchett pasó más de tres décadas viviendo y trabajando en Venecia, produciendo vistas admirables de la ciudad; fue uno de un grupo de artistas ingleses que producieron registros notables de las escenas del norte de Italia, un grupo que incluía a John Wharlton Bunney, James Holland, los cuñados Luke Fildes y Henry Woods, y, en una generación posterior, William Logsdail.
