Edward Step
Productief auteur van natuurboeken
Edward Step was de auteur van vele populaire en gespecialiseerde boeken over verschillende aspecten van de natuur. Zijn vele werken over botanie, zoölogie en mycologie werden gepubliceerd tussen 1894 en 1941 (postuum). Sommige van zijn boeken over bloemen werden geïllustreerd door zijn dochter, Mabel Emily Step, waaronder de pocketgids uit 1905 met de titel Wayside and Woodland Blossoms. Hij droeg ook bij aan het tijdschrift Science-Gossip: An Illustrated Monthly Record of Nature, Country Lore & Applied Science.
