Edwin Foley
Diseñador de muebles victoriano
Nació como Edwin John Foley en Fisherton Anger, Wiltshire, alrededor de 1859, siendo el segundo hijo y el mayor varón del fabricante de muebles Arthur Foley de los Fisherton Cabinet Works en Salisbury, y su esposa Jane. Recibió al menos parte de su educación en Londres, donde vivió con su tío y tía, Peter y Rhoda Marie Brown. Trabajó como diseñador para su padre al menos desde principios de la década de 1880, pero en 1891 vivía en Charlotte Street, Marylebone, con su esposa Louisa Maud (de soltera Hayford), con quien se casó en 1882. Tuvieron tres hijos: Conrad Hayford (n. 1885), Hubert Edwin (n. 1887) y Alan Victor (n. 1888).
