Edwin Foley
Designer de móveis vitoriano
Ele nasceu como Edwin John Foley em Fisherton Anger, Wiltshire, por volta de 1859, sendo o segundo filho e o filho mais velho do fabricante de móveis Arthur Foley dos Fisherton Cabinet Works em Salisbury, e de sua esposa Jane. Ele recebeu pelo menos parte de sua educação em Londres, onde morava com seu tio e tia, Peter e Rhoda Marie Brown. Ele trabalhou como designer para seu pai pelo menos desde o início da década de 1880, mas em 1891 morava na Charlotte Street, Marylebone, com sua esposa Louisa Maud (nascida Hayford), com quem se casou em 1882. Eles tiveram três filhos: Conrad Hayford (n. 1885), Hubert Edwin (n. 1887) e Alan Victor (n. 1888).
