Elisha Brown Bird
Pionero en caricaturas de béisbol
Elisha Brown Bird fue un ilustrador estadounidense conocido por sus pósters y diseños de exlibris. Natural de Dorchester, asistió al M.I.T. y, tras graduarse, se convirtió en uno de los primeros en dibujar jugadores de béisbol en acción. Durante más de 15 años antes de su jubilación en 1939, trabajó en el departamento de arte del New York Times. Exposiciones permanentes de sus exlibris se exhiben en la Boston Public Library y en las bibliotecas de Harvard y Yale.
