엘리샤 브라운 버드
야구 만화와 장서표 선구자
Elisha Brown Bird는 포스터와 장서판 디자인으로 알려진 미국의 삽화가였습니다. 도체스터 출신으로, 매사추세츠 공과대학교에 다녔으며 졸업 후 야구 선수의 동작을 카툰으로 그린 최초의 작가 중 한 명이 되었습니다. 1939년 은퇴 전 15년 이상 동안 뉴욕 타임스의 예술 부서에서 근무했습니다. 그의 장서판은 보스턴 공공도서관과 하버드 및 예일 대학교 도서관에 상설 전시되어 있습니다.
