Emma Beach Thayer

Emma Beach Thayer fue una artista estadounidense conocida por sus pinturas florales. Thayer, de soltera Beach, nació en la ciudad de Nueva York en 1849. El Museo Smithsoniano de Arte Estadounidense le atribuye la creación de estudios para las ilustraciones de la obra «Concealing Coloration in the Animal Kingdom». Su estudio de 1904 titulado «The Cotton-Tail Rabbit among Dry Grasses and Leaves» forma parte de la colección del Museo de Brooklyn. Thayer era la hija de Moses S. Beach y Chloe Buckingham. Fue la segunda esposa del pintor Abbott Handerson Thayer (1849–1921) y la madrastra del pintor Gerald Handerson Thayer (1883-1939). Thayer murió en Peekskill, Nueva York, en 1924.
