Erwin Puchinger
Pionero vienés del arte total
Erwin Puchinger fue un pintor, ilustrador, diseñador industrial y artista gráfico vienés. Fue una figura influyente en el arte vienés de finales del siglo XIX. Puchinger formó parte de los movimientos austríacos Jugendstil y Gesamtkunstwerk (arte total), que buscaban eliminar las fronteras entre el arte puro y el arte aplicado. Puchinger trabajó en Londres, Praga y París, además de en Viena, y colaboró con otras figuras destacadas del arte y diseño vienés como Ernst y Gustav Klimt y Otto Prutscher. Fue un respetado profesor de arte en el Instituto de Artes Gráficas, donde enseñó durante más de treinta años. Su obra también formó parte del evento de pintura en la competencia de arte de los Juegos Olímpicos de Verano de 1936.
