Étienne Parrocel
Pintor religioso francés en Roma
Nacido en una familia de pintores y grabadores originaria de Montbrisson, en la región del Loira, Étienne Parrocel pasó gran parte de su vida laboral en Roma. En Francia, estudió bajo la tutela de su tío Pierre (1670-1739), quien lo llevó a Roma en 1717, donde se unió a la Academia di San Luca en 1734. Las obras religiosas de Étienne eran muy solicitadas durante el siglo XVIII, especialmente después de que Pierre Guérin de Tencin encargara una pintura suya cuyo paradero se desconoce.
