エティエンヌ・パロセル
18世紀ローマの仏教画家
エティエンヌ・パロセルは、ロワール地方のモンブリソン出身の画家および版画家の家に生まれ、職業生活の大半をローマで過ごしました。フランスでは叔父のピエール（1670-1739）に師事し、1717年にピエールに連れられてローマへ渡り、1734年にサン・ルカ・アカデミアに入会しました。 エティエンヌの宗教画は18世紀に需要が高く、特にピエール・ゲラン・ド・タンサンが彼の行方不明の絵画を注文して以降、その傾向が強まった。
