Étienne Parrocel
Pintor religioso francês em Roma
Nascido numa família de pintores e gravadores originária de Montbrisson, na região do Loire, Étienne Parrocel passou grande parte da sua vida profissional em Roma. Em França, estudou com o seu tio Pierre (1670-1739), que o levou para Roma em 1717, onde ingressou na Accademia di San Luca em 1734. As obras religiosas de Étienne eram muito procuradas no século XVIII, especialmente depois que Pierre Guérin de Tencin encomendou uma pintura sua cujo paradeiro é desconhecido.
