F. Earl Christy รจ nato nel 1882 a Filadelfia, in Pennsylvania. Si ritiene che la "F" stia per "Frederic". A 17 anni, ha dipinto originali per la Boardwalk Atlantic City Picture company, con molti dei suoi primi lavori pubblicati dalla J. Hoover and Sons Calendar Company di Filadelfia. Ha frequentato la Pennsylvania Academy of Arts dal 1905 al 1907. Christy ha prodotto dozzine di copertine di riviste, tra cui per Dell Publishing Company per Modern Romances, Modern Screen and Radio Stars, Ainslee's magazine, American Magazine, Sunday Magazine of the New York Times, Collier's, Leslie's Illustrated Weekly, Liberty Magazine, McClure's Photoplay Magazine, e Puck Magazine.
