F. Earl Christy는 1882년 펜실베이니아 필라델피아에서 태어났습니다. 'F'는 'Frederic'을 의미하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 17세에 그는 보드워크 애틀랜틱 시티 픽처 컴퍼니를 위해 원본 작품을 그렸으며, 그의 초기 작품 중 다수는 필라델피아의 J. Hoover and Sons Calendar Company에 의해 출판되었습니다. 그는 1905년부터 1907년까지 펜실베이니아 미술 아카데미에 다녔습니다.
