Ferdinand Knab
Pittore architettonico e scenografo tedesco
Ferdinand Knab era un pittore tedesco. Knab fu inizialmente allievo di Heideloff a Norimberga, dove lavorò praticamente nel settore edile per due anni, e si trasferì a Monaco nel 1859 per dedicarsi alla pittura architettonica. Frequentò le scuole di Arthur von Ramberg e di Piloty e andò in Italia nel 1868. Knab creò otto immagini per il padiglione reale della stazione ferroviaria di Monaco. Nel 1870 gli fu commissionata la scenografia per «Il flauto magico» di Mozart all'opera di corte.
