Francesco de Mura
Barroco tardio ao neoclassicismo
Francesco de Mura foi um pintor italiano do final do período barroco, ativo principalmente em Nápoles e Turim. Sua obra tardia reflete o estilo do neoclassicismo. Francesco de Mura, também referido como Franceschiello, foi aluno de Francesco Solimena e depois de Domenico Viola, onde conheceu seu contemporâneo, Mattia Preti. Ainda na adolescência, ele pintou afrescos (1715) em San Nicola alla Carità em Nápoles. Pintou dez telas das Virtudes e uma Adoração dos Reis Magos (1728) para a igreja de Santa Maria Donnaromita. Suas outras obras incluem afrescos da Adoração dos Reis Magos (1732) na cúpula do ábside da igreja da Nunziatella. De Mura também pintou retratos. Entre seus alunos estavam Pietro Bardellino e Girolamo Starace.
