François-Claudius Compte-Calix
Peintre français de genre
François-Claudius Compte-Calix, peintre français de sujets de genre et de portraits, est né à Lyon en 1813. Il a étudié à l'école des beaux-arts de sa ville natale et dans l'atelier de J. C. Bonnefond, et a exposé pour la première fois au Salon de Paris en 1840. Son 'Vieil Ami', peint en 1863, figurait à l'Exposition universelle de Paris en 1867. Il est mort à Chazay d'Azergues près de Lyon en 1880.
