弗朗茨·科貝爾
多產的德國風景素描家
弗朗茨·科貝爾是一位德國畫家、蝕刻版畫家和素描家。巴伐利亞選帝侯卡爾·特奧多爾於1776年派他前往義大利學習藝術，他一直待到1785年，主要在羅馬以自然和紀念性建築為題材進行創作。隨後他居住在慕尼黑，並成為宮廷畫家。 他僅創作了少量油畫，卻深受歌德的高度讚譽，其中著名的例子是《有瀑布的岩石風景》，曾藏於班貝格畫廊。儘管他擁有奔放的想像力和非凡的創作天賦，但繪畫過程過於緩慢，難以跟上他的思路，因此他主要局限於使用鋼筆和鉛筆，留下了兩萬幅風景與建築的鋼筆畫及蝕刻畫。 他是費迪南德·科貝爾的兄弟。
