フランツ・クサーヴァー・ペッター
ビーダーマイヤー花の巨匠
フランツ・クサーヴァー・アンドレアス・ペターはオーストリアの芸術家でした。ペターはリヒテンタールで生まれ、父親は磁器画家で、彼も同じ職業を継ぐことが期待されていましたが、ペターは油絵に興味を抱きました。彼はウィーン美術アカデミーでヨハン・バプティスト・ドレクスラーに師事しました。 フランツ・クサヴァー・ペターは、ウィーンのビーダーマイヤー期における最も重要な静物画家の一人でした。彼は花のアレンジメントを専門とし、後には果物のアレンジメントや花のある風景画も手がけ、オランダ黄金時代の花卉静物画の描写伝統を引き継ぎました。ペターの作品はオーストリアの貴族の間で非常に人気がありました。 ペッターはキャサリン・ハンベック（1793-1858）と結婚しました。彼らには二人の息子がおり、セオドアは芸術家になり、グスタフは音楽家でした。フランツ・クサーヴァー・ペッターは1866年5月にウィーンで亡くなりました。
