Frederick Cayley Robinson

Frederick Cayley Robinson ARA was an English painter, decorator and illustrator. He is perhaps best known for his series of paintings for the Middlesex Hospital entitled Acts of Mercy commissioned around 1915 and completed in 1920. Cayley Robinson wurde in Brentford geboren, war der Sohn eines Börsenmaklers und studierte an der St John's Wood Academy, den Royal Academy Schools sowie von 1890 bis 1892 an der Académie Julian in Paris. Er war Mitglied der Society of Painters in Tempera, des New English Art Club und der Royal Watercolour Society. Cayley Robinson stellte regelmäßig an der Royal Academy und der Society of British Painters aus.
