Frederick Cayley Robinson ARA was an English painter, decorator and illustrator. He is perhaps best known for his series of paintings for the Middlesex Hospital entitled Acts of Mercy commissioned around 1915 and completed in 1920. Nacido en Brentford, Cayley Robinson era hijo de un corredor de bolsa y estudió en la St John's Wood Academy, las Royal Academy Schools y en la Académie Julian en París desde 1890 hasta 1892. Fue miembro de la Society of Painters in Tempera, del New English Art Club y de la Royal Watercolour Society.
