Frederick Cayley Robinson

Frederick Cayley Robinson ARA was an English painter, decorator and illustrator. He is perhaps best known for his series of paintings for the Middlesex Hospital entitled Acts of Mercy commissioned around 1915 and completed in 1920. Né à Brentford, Cayley Robinson était le fils d'un courtier en bourse et a étudié à la St John's Wood Academy, aux Royal Academy Schools et à l'Académie Julian à Paris de 1890 à 1892. Il était membre de la Society of Painters in Tempera, du New English Art Club et de la Royal Watercolour Society. Cayley Robinson exposait régulièrement à la Royal Academy et à la Society of British Painters.
