Frederick Cayley Robinson

Frederick Cayley Robinson ARA was an English painter, decorator and illustrator. He is perhaps best known for his series of paintings for the Middlesex Hospital entitled Acts of Mercy commissioned around 1915 and completed in 1920. Nato a Brentford, Cayley Robinson era figlio di un agente di cambio e studiò alla St John's Wood Academy, alle Royal Academy Schools e all'Académie Julian a Parigi dal 1890 al 1892. Era membro della Society of Painters in Tempera, del New English Art Club e della Royal Watercolour Society. Cayley Robinson esponeva regolarmente alla Royal Academy e alla Society of British Painters.
