Frederick Cayley Robinson ARA was an English painter, decorator and illustrator. He is perhaps best known for his series of paintings for the Middlesex Hospital entitled Acts of Mercy commissioned around 1915 and completed in 1920. Nascido em Brentford, Cayley Robinson era filho de um corretor da bolsa e estudou na St John's Wood Academy, nas Royal Academy Schools e na Académie Julian em Paris de 1890 a 1892. Ele foi membro da Society of Painters in Tempera, do New English Art Club e da Royal Watercolour Society. Cayley Robinson expunha regularmente na Royal Academy e na Society of British Painters.
