Friedrich Johann Treml

Friedrich Treml, noto anche come Johann Friedrich Treml, era un pittore di genere e acquerellista austriaco. Treml era figlio del pittore teatrale Friedrich Treml. Dopo aver studiato brevemente al Politecnico di Vienna, si dedicò alla formazione presso l'Accademia di Vienna. Lì fu particolarmente incoraggiato da Peter Fendi. Nel 1843 Treml sposò la nipote e figlia adottiva di Peter Fendi. Treml dipingeva scene di genere, preferibilmente tratte dalla vita militare. Dal 1849 lavorò quasi esclusivamente per la corte viennese. I suoi dipinti furono spesso litografati, tra gli altri da Franz Xaver Sandmann, K. Lanzedelly e Johann Stadler, il che rese le opere molto popolari. Nella scelta del soggetto e dello stile, Treml fu fortemente influenzato da Carl Schindler. La Tremlweg a Vienna-Siebenhirten è stata intitolata a lui nel 1959.
