Friedrich Sustris
Pintor italo-holandés y arquitecto bávaro
Friedrich Sustris fue un pintor, decorador y arquitecto ítalo-neerlandés. Era hijo del artista Lambert Sustris, que trabajaba en Italia. Sustris recibió su formación de su padre Lambert en Venecia y Padua. De 1563 a 1567 fue formado por Giorgio Vasari en Florencia, después de haber regresado de una estancia en Roma en 1560. Su primer mecenas fue Hans Fugger, quien encargó la decoración de la mansión Fugger en Venecia. Era el yerno de Jan Kraeck. A partir de 1573, Sustris trabajó para Guillermo V, duque de Baviera, en Landshut, antes de convertirse en arquitecto jefe de la corte bávara con la ascensión al trono de Guillermo en 1579.
